Awesome DIY Flip Flop Hangers

Good morning!

Another month almost under our belts - WOW - doesn't it seem like January is just flying by?  Before we know it summer will be here! And speaking of summer, today's 'how-to' will be much needed when summer comes.

For all of you who don't use pinterest or haven't been invited yet, I am sharing a post from there that I think is just brilliant!  This is just the ticket if you have a BUNCH of flip flops like me.  It appears easy to do and certainly keeps them better organized than being all over the house! Love this idea, don't you?

Well, if you love it as much as I do then follow my link to see how it's done! Big thanks to Jen at epbot.com for giving us the tutorial!

Valentine's Day Sour Cream Container Treat

Good morning!  It's Friday - Hurray!!!!!!

Today is again geared toward Valentine's Day.  These sour cream containers are so easy to make and very cute when done!  I did them last year for my son's class at school.  I just happened upon this tutorial the other day and thought I'd pass it on to you.  Sarah even did a video!  You'll be surprised how simple these little treats are to make!  Follow my link to Sarah's blog to see how it's done.

T-Shirt Shag Rug

Hi!  I hope your day is going well so far.

I totally love this project.  If you have t-shirts that have seen better days this is the prefect way to upcycle them!  I think this would be awesome as a bathmat - soft jersey material under your feet!  I was going to use my son's old T's to make t-shirt yarn, but I just might have to take a few and make this rug for in my bathroom!

Thanks to Ginny over at ragsbysockmonkey.blogspot.com for sharing this tutorial!

Love Juice Valentines - CUTE

Good Afternoon! A big birthday goes out to my friend Michele and her husband Rich.  Today is their birthday - and yes you read that right - husband and wife with the same birthday! And they are only a year apart in age! So big wishes go out to them today.

February is right around the corner and I've begun thinking of Valentine's Day. So today's post is an idea for your kiddos classmates.  I have done this in the past and they turned out very nice and were relatively inexpensive to do even for a larger class of children.  Wanna know how - go here:

Are they sweet?  Thanks to Kalleen of atsecondstreet.blogspot.com for the printable as well as for showing us how!!

Have a super day and I'll see ya soon!

Crocheted Yo Yo Easter Bunny

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.

My last post was for Easter and so is today! I wanted to get it posted so you would have time to complete it without being rushed.

So without further ado - if you're looking for a cute crochet project for Easter, this is the one!  I've made this bunny and it is very easy and quite cute when done.  When I made it I used different colors than the pattern calls for - I liked pastels - but as with any pattern you can use whatever color combination you like!

The pattern is a free download at free-crochet.com. Just follow my link to get there!  Crocheted Yo Yo Bunny

Don't you know someone who would love to have this in their Easter basket?

Hope you day is terrific.  See ya soon!

Easter Rabbit Soap Holder

Good Saturday morning to one and all!

Funny thing - shortly after posting the bar of soap reindeer I came across this washcloth bunny! This project is just as cute as the reindeer - maybe even cuter! Thanks to thriftyfun.com for the instructions!  Follow my link to make it - Easter Rabbit Soap Holder

This might even be an easy project for younger school kids.  Maybe I should pass it on to my friend who teaches first grade!

Anyway, have funny making bunnies!  See ya soon.

Bar of Soap Reindeer Craft

Good morning! Happy Friday to you all.

Just a short post today.

I really wish I had seen this before Christmas! I think it is sooooo cute - don't you? It seems that it would be so easy to make.  I don't have a tutorial for this since I came across the picture on pinterest, but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to figure out how it's done!

This might be cute as a bunny, too. It could be for in Easter baskets. The nose would be a pink felt triangle or pink pom pom and the poem would need to be revamped but it just might work. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Well, that's it for today.  Have a fantastic day.  See ya soon!

DIY River Rock Door Mat

Good Afternoon!  I so apologize for being a bad blogger lately.  I've been preoccupied with other things and sadly my blog has suffered for it.

But today I want to show you a project that is pretty cool.  It is a river rock doormat!  The tutorial is brought to you via oneprettything.com and says also that it could be made and used as a bathmat as well.  I'm not too sure about that aspect but I am thinking it would be a nice doormat.

Want one?  Go here to see how easy it is to make your very own!

The tutorial uses black stones, but I really like the natural ones like above.  Regardless of your own personal preference to the type of stone used - this is an easy project with a beautiful finished result! Wouldn't you agree?

Have a fantastic Thursday. See ya soon! (I promise.)

Magic Circle Crochet Loop

Good Morning!

I am a self taught crocheter.  I decided after we brought my son home that I wanted to learn.  So I bought an illustrated book, a hook, and some yarn and tackled the instructions.  I discovered that it was fairly simple and really enjoy making crocheted items.  Over the years I have learned many new stitches and little tricks to make my finished items either easier to make or look better in the end.

With that said, somehow I never learned the secret of the magic circle crochet loop.  But, today, I can share it with all of you.  Follow the link to a video that shows how to do it.  There is no sound so don't be worried when you start it.  So without further ado and for your viewing pleasure - Enjoy!

Short and sweet today.  But have a great one and see ya soon!
