Cool Picture Bracelet!!!

Hi, everyone!  Hope your weekend was great.

With Christmas quickly approaching, are you just starting your shopping or are you finished?  Unfortunately, I'm further behind than normal this year! Usually I've gotten most of the shopping done and just need to wrap.  This year I'm still trying to figure out what to buy!

I came across this item a while back and I thought that if you had someone who is hard to buy for that this might make an interesting gift.  I know that cuff bracelets are big right now.  The best part is this is a custom bracelet designed by you.  It uses your photos, the colors of your choice and it makes it unique to you.  Go here to find out how to get yours: PicktureThat

I really like that $1.00 of every bracelet is donated to an organization that is making a difference for others.  Check out their Give Back page for more information.

I'm not sure about the exact size of this bracelet.  It appears to be quite large and chunky. But isn't that the style right now?  Anyway, I thought they were unique and different and I wanted to pass it along to you.

Have a great Monday!  See ya soon!

New Soda Tab Bracelet

Happy Friday everyone!

I just noticed that it's been 2 weeks since my last post - WOW - time is flying by! The holiday season is getting closer and closer and there's so much to do!  And it seems like there's not enough time to do it! LOL

Today, I want to show you another Pop/Soda Tab Bracelet that I made recently. It is not as wide as the crocheted bracelet I did before. This one uses fabric strips and has a snap closure with a button decoration.

From snap-end to snap-end this bracelet measures approximately 7.5 inches.  It can be made bigger or smaller very easily by using more or less tabs. You could use ribbon also, but I think it might be more expensive in the long run. You could also use other things to adorn and help cover the snap instead of a button. I just happened to have a button that matched the fabric I was using!

This bracelet is very lightweight and does have some flexibility and stretch to it.  The variety of colors available in fabric just blows my mind - you could have one in every color of the rainbow if you wanted!  The fabric I used is part of a fat quarter bundle that I already had, but they are sold at Walmart and lots of places online.

So, there you have it!  Start saving your tabs today and you can make one, too!  Have a fantastic Friday and I'll see ya soon!

Custom Paper Beads

Good Afternoon!  Hope all is well with everyone.

The 1st Day of School is drawing closer. We are down to 2 weeks.  I keep saying I can't wait, but in truth it will be strange to be home alone at first. It will take some time to get back into a routine!  I know that Cristian is not looking forward to the earlier bed time.  But having enough sleep is essential even though he doesn't realize it!  At least he will have a long weekend over Labor Day which coincides with his birthday this year!

I'm loving the earrings from today's post.  Wouldn't they make nice teacher appreciation gifts?  Or a cute stocking stuffer for your favorite gal pal!  It really doesn't matter for what reason - just make 'em!  See how here:

How to Make Custom Paper Beads

Super cute and lightweight to wear anytime.  Why make them as a gift?  Do them for you and the shear pleasure of making something cute for yourself!  Enjoy!

Have a great day and see ya soon!

Paper Beads - My First Attempt

Hi everyone!

A few posts ago I shared with you a website about paper beads.  I've finally made a few of my own.  These beads are sooo easy to make!  I got the bead roller tool from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.  I used wrapping paper cut into long strips - 1" wide x 30" long!  One 1" strip makes a total of 3 beads - 1 wide and 2 small.  The longer the strip the thicker the bead! After rolling them I brushed on a coat of glossy Mod Podge and let them dry overnight.  Then coated them with Acrylic Sealer to protect them from moisture.

Here's a few pics to see:

The great thing about these beads is that there are so many mediums that you can use and colors are limitless.  I'm just getting started making my beads, but I have a bracelet in mind for when I have enough beads done.  I'll be posting it - so stay tuned!

Have a fantastic day - see ya soon!

Paper Beads

It's June - Hip Hip Hurray!!!

We are having the super hot weather right now - it seems like summer has come early this year.  Yesterday it was 99 - I hope this isn't a precursor to what the rest of the summer will be like!!

I have always been fascinated with crafting.  And this particular craft is no exception!  Isn't it amazing to think that these beads were at one time a page in a magazine, or a sale paper that we all throw away as junk mail?  What a terrific way to recycle or upcycle (which ever tickles your fancy)!!!

If you've ever wondered how to make these beauties, I've found an awesome website here: Paper Beads - Jewelry Made From Recycled Paper

Paper Beads
Aren't they Pretty and Unique???
So hop on over and give it a try - I know they are on absolutely on my to do list!!  When I get to them I'll be sure to show you!

Have a great June 1 and we'll chat soon!

Gift Card Bracelet - What?

Hey there!  How is your Thursday so far?  Mine is starting off with a stiff neck so today's post will be quick.

Yes, you read the title of my post correctly - it's a bracelet made from a Walmart gift card!  Upcycled or Recycled?  Well whichever it is, it is very lightweight and came out even better than I expected.  I saw this idea somewhere a while back, but it was done a little differently.  I wanted it to be as feminine as possible - I hope I've achieved it with the addition of the beads on the connecting jump rings.

So the next time you're at Walmart, get a gift card and give it a try.  Or go to our Studio at eWillow and pick up one for yourself (free shipping in the US)!

Thanks for looking - have a great day!

Upcycled "Fishing Swivel" Bracelet and Earring Sets

Hey all!  It's Over the Hump Day - Hurray!!!

First, I want to take a moment to recognize those of you who visit!  I appreciate you taking time to check out my posts and hope you have found something that inspires you in some way. So, thank you!

Today I have a couple pics of upcycled jewelry sets that I made.  Yes, they are made from fishing tackle.  I know it's hard to believe, but it's true - LOL!  Surprisingly, they are quite lightweight and attractive.

What do you think?  I'd love to know.

Hope your day is awesome!  See ya soon.

Teacher Appreciation Day Gifts

Good Morning.

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day!  Cristian was excited to give his teachers their gifts today.  I made both of them glass tile pendants.  Since, by now they have received them, I can show you the pics.

Cute Tins, huh?

Perfect Fit!

Inspire

Encourage
Both pendants are 1 inch square glass tiles mounted in a shiny silver tray.  The stamped circles (which are a little hard to see in the pics) have the teachers initials.  The chain is a 24 inch length shiny silver ball chain, which can be adjusted to a different length if they wish.  I was pleased with the end result, and these pictures really don't do them justice.

I want to make more and put them in our Studio at eWillow.  They will probably be embellished with beads instead of personalized stamped discs.  But, if I used the metal stamped discs maybe words of encouragement or inspiration would be good - hmmmm - that's something to think about.  So keep an eye out for them to be added to the studio!

Have a terrific Tuesday and see ya soon!

Washer Jewelry

Good Saturday Afternoon!

I have a few more pictures to show you of washers transformed into pendants and earrings.

I seem to have an orange theme going, don't I?  Well, the reason is that my dear friend has Multiple Sclerosis and we have been experimenting for a possible fundraiser with all the proceeds going to the MS Society.

The first one was done with alcohol ink, the second is a graphic with glaze and the third one is wrapped ribbon.  The last is another graphic with glaze.  Which one is your favorite?  I like them all but I have a bias opinion, obviously - LOL!  The possibilities with these things are endless.  I have so many graphics that I want to use as well as more ideas for washer/hardware earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Have any of you figured out what the earrings and bracelet from yesterday's post is made of?  Well, I think I'll keep you waiting one more day to find out!

We are getting ready for Cristian's friends to sleep over tonight (I doubt there will be much sleeping though - LOL).  So have a great rest of your Saturday and we'll chat soon.  See ya!

Handmade Jewelry Sets

Good Afternoon!  A few days ago I told you that I had made a birthday gift and that I would post it once I knew they had received it.  So here you go:
As you can see it is made using washers and beads.  Purple is her favorite color so I decided to use it for the washers.  They are colored with alcohol ink - don't they look cool?  It almost makes them look like they are stone.  The ink is so easy to work with and the results are incredible and unique.  That sort of makes it a one of kind original!  Anyway, the rest of the project was just head pinning the beads and connecting everything together with jump rings.  I thought it came out very nicely.  It turns out that my sister-in-law thought so too when she got it!

I have another set I want to show you and you'll never believe what it is made from!

Can you figure out what I used to make this set?  Sorry, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out!  If you think you know - leave me a comment.  I'd love to hear your guesses.

So have a great rest of your TGIF day and see you tomorrow!
